Our purpose is to impact people through education for a better world, because we understand that education is the only way to have a fairer and less unequal country. We do this not only by implementing the best governance practices in the company, but mainly by offering quality education with scope to the whole country, empowering people so that they can be agents of transformation of their future.

We believe that it is necessary for companies to consider the environmental and social impacts of their activities, so sustainability is present in our strategy, operation and non-negotiable values.

Based on this premise, we are committed to generating sustainable value for all our stakeholders, our students and customers, employees, shareholders and investors, suppliers and service providers, contributing to the balance of environmental and social resources and meeting the needs of future generations.

Aware that we can go further, and that the future is in our hands, we disclose our goals and commitments:

Current Scenario

+84% of the energy used in the company is from renewable sources;

100% of the energy consumed in our largest distribution center comes from renewable sources;

Awareness/education campaigns for efficient use of resources in corporate offices and higher education units;

We require that 100% of our suppliers be FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified which ensures sustainable management in the paper chain of custody. And we also maintain certification in the Company;

Our corporate headquarters in São Paulo has LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification of green construction;

100% of education system stamps maintain environmental-related content and environmental education in the disciplines of all school years;

In addition, the complementary STEM Connect – Discovery Education solution promotes discussion around the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN) and the socio-environmental demands of society;

In Higher Education we maintain +170 undergraduate and graduate courses related to environmental issues;

Maintenance of three lines of research in stricto sensu graduate program in environmental issues.

Structured Corporate Volunteer program, 6,000 hours dedicated in 2020 alone;

Actions to combat COVID correspond to R$325 million, directly impacting more than 2.7 million people;

• MSCI: From a global perspective, the BBB rating places Cogna among the 10% of companies with this rating under the constituents of the MSCI ACWI Index of the Diversified Consumer Services sector (10 companies);

• CSA: Above average in the industry, 4th in the global ranking of the segment and 1st place when compared with peers in Brazil.
